Occupational Health and Safety Update: What’s happened over the last 8 months

This engaging presentation will take a look at some of the key changes to legislation and what the first eight months have shown us by looking at Joint Health Safety Committees, Harassment Investigations and Incident Investigations. This presentation will also review return to work and modified duties under the amended WCB Act. Finally, the presentation will review a case study R v. Precision Diversified Oilfield Services Corp: The Alberta Court of Appeal which introduces reason to “reasonably practical” offences.

This informative presentation will review the requirements for Health and Safety Committees/Health and Safety Representatives which came into force on June 1, 2018 and will address questions Partnerships and CCSA members have raised for both work site requirements and training requirements.

Implementing the CSA Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace

This informative and experience-based presentation will review the three key factors to successfully implement the CSA Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. The presentation will include examples of organizations who have been successful in implementation and identify barriers for organizations to consider when implementing the standard.
