Opera, Capital Care join in fundraiser

The older man in the video didn't know it, but he helped net $300,000 Tuesday night for the Edmonton Op-era and Capital Care Foundation.
The man, in a long-term care facility, was seen in a video watching the opera chorus sing before remarking: "It makes me want to live."
Nearly 900 guests paid $500 each to attend the black tie gala at the Shaw Conference Centre and after the video placed $56,000 in Valentine-red donation envelopes to help the evening net the $300,000.
Funds will be divided equally between Edmonton Opera and the Capital Care Foundation.
