Workshop Description

Supervisors and managers play an integral part in implementing and sustaining a successful Workplace Violence and Aggression Prevention Program. They are the direct link between upper management and frontline staff and have a great amount of influence and responsibility in the workplace.  This workshop focuses on three components: Harassment and Bullying, Worker-to-Worker Violence and Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace.  Participants will learn how these different components can affect staff and the overall working environment, as well as the effect that supervisors and managers have on the workplace in regards to these three components.  This training provides information, tools and resources to help managers and supervisors respond to incidents, while ensuring that everyone affected is appropriately supported and any long-term impacts of such incidents are minimized.

Participants will receive class-room based instruction and will be asked to engage in discussion and activities to ensure they have the information, tools and resources to successfully and effectively implement the program in their organization, facility or department. This workshop is recommended for leadership, management and supervisory staff.
